Leaving Las Vegas

Yesterday before I left Las Vegas to fly home, I had a wonderful photo session with the incredible Alexander Morozov (a photographer) playing the part of "model" for me.

Vegas Here I Come!

I'm so excited I can't sleep! In the morning, I'm flying off to LasVegas for the WPPI (Wedding and Portrait Photographers International) convention where I'll be blessed with all sorts of wisdom from world renowned photographers!

While in Vegas, I'll have my cell phone handy, and be able to check my email so don't hesitate to contact me with any questions you may have while I'm away.

Ben and Abby's Wedding Slide Show!

Ben and Abby were married on March 10, and now that they're back from their honeymoon (they went on a cruise and even rode horses through the water!) I proudly present their wedding slideshow!

Taylor University Jazz

Friday night was a red-letter night for me -- I went to a Jazz concert for the first time in quite a long while!

At school, Emily and Ian's teachers told me they were planning on going to the concert, held at the Richie Walton Center, where the Taylor University Jazz Ensemble and the Taylor Sounds Chamber Ensemble would be performing.

I arrived to the concert just in time after having bought tickets at the door, and got a front row seat!

The Jazz Ensemble was led by Dr. Al Harrison, and the Chamber Ensemble was led by Dr. JoAnn Rediger.

And did you think I went without my camera? Of course not!

I grabbed a few shots, and I'll send a disk off to the directors -- I think they'll enjoy the images!

Emily

My daughter Emily is such fun! She loves to be photographed, which is fantastic because I always love to work on my lighting technique!

Even though she has a cold, she was happy to sit for me yesterday.



I'm really enjoying working in black/white -- the new LightRoom software by Adobe really makes post-processing the images a lot more of a fully expressive process!

Ben and Abby's Wedding!

It was Saturday afternoon. The morning had been foggy, but by lunchtime the sun had cleared up all the fog and the temperatures were in the 50's. A perfect day for Ben and Abby's wedding!
